Château de Ferrand

http://www.chateaudeferrand.com

Château de Ferrand is 42Ha  family estate (of which 30 are under vine) located on top of the Saint-Hyppolyte hills.  Since the 17th Century it has only two owners and this extraordinary stability underlies the spirit of Château de Ferrand and its wines,

The quest for excellence and respect for the vine, the wine and the consumer is the motivation that stands behind the tradition of ageing wines that inspires the team at the Château; vintages are only offered for sale after a minimum of 5 years of ageing directly though a network of wine merchants around the world.

AOC St. Emillion Grand Cru 2000

A perfect blend of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10%Cabernet, it is a very aromatic wine with a good structure. Its strong, well-balanced tannins permit drinking now and also allow the wine to be kept for a long period.

Garnet red in colour with ripe red fruit still evolving on the nose and palate with hints of woody and vanilla notes. Well- rounded with fine integrated tannins. It is an exceptional vintage.
