This wine was made entirely from grapes grown on the estate vineyard located in the coastal area of the Limarí Valley in the north of Chile. The vineyards are planted 29 kms from the Pacific Ocean, which has a great influence on the temperatures due to the strong in-land breezes.
The fruit was handpicked during the fiirst week of April. A cold maceration was then carried out for 6 days at 8°C, afterwards the alcoholic fermentation was done in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with whole grapes and a traditional manual pigeage. Finally, another maceration took place after the alcoholic fermentation for and additional 5 days. The wine was aged for 12 month in 100% French oak barrels.
Red in colour, brilliant and clean. Very complex, fresh aromas with good fruit intensity, full of cherries, strawberries, spices and an earthy note; everything perfectly integrated with the French oak. On the palate it is fresh, with good acidity, delicate and well balanced with a silky texture. A seductive wine with along and elegant finish.
