syllasebaste.com

Along the ridge that leads from Novello to La Morra, in the Vergne fraction of the municipality of Barolo, the family owned Sylla Sebaste cellar, erected right on the summit of the hill San Pietro delle Viole which overlooks a wonderful view of vineyards and the whole of the Alba Langa, has been producing classic Piedmont wines of refined quality from more then twenty years.

Comprising of 7 Ha, all located within the municipality of Barolo in the prestigious Bussia and Bricco Viole area, they are entirely dedicated to the traditional varieties such as Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera and Freisa; and, owing to the favourable position of its vineyards and the use of innovative techniques in the vineyards as well as in the cellar, the company presently markets about 70.000 prized wine bottles of original character, the result of unyielding respect for the historical culture and tradition of these production areas.

2008 Barolo DOCG

Nebbiolo

Its origin stems from the excellent Nebbiolo grapes estate grown on the land close to the village of Bricco. It has a pleasant tannin quality and it is particularly pleasing if accompanied by red meat dishes. Allowed to mature in large oak barrels for 36 months prior to another 15 to 18 months in bottle before its release.  Initially intense ruby red in colour, it will take on an orange-bricky shaded colour as it ages and continues to evolve in the bottle for another 12-15 years.  Only 5000 bottles made.
