Vernaccia di San Gimignano D.O.C.G. 2003

Produced and bottled on Enrico Terruzi's private estate named for his wife near Siena in Tuscany from 100% Vernaccia grapes.

It has a tenuous straw colour tending to golden-yellow with aging. A refined, penetrating characteristic aroma and a dry and balanced flavour with a typical bitterish aftertaste.

A refreshing wine that goes well with appetizers, first dishes and fish. Serve at 8 degrees C.

85/100  Slate, almond, lemon oil and apple skin aromas. Dry, round, elegant style with nutty, mineral, dried apple with a touch of citrus rind and butter notes. A bit more austere style but will be fine with mussels and clams.  AG - ST
