__________
two reviews
The Borgo Salcetino, a prestige Tuscan property owned by Livon, is located near Lucarelli in the Municipality of Radda in Chianti, the region best suited for the growing of Sangiovese and Cannaiolo grapes. The estate produces exceptional full-bodied wines a result of a stringent selection process in the vineyard followed by the use of ultra modern winemaking techniques.

Lucarello
Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Riserva 1998
The 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cannaiolo grapes are fermented and aged in oak for up to three years from harvest. Deep ruby-garnet red in colour and highly perfumed with red fruit aromas, Lucarello is harmonious in its well-structured and balanced flavours of berry, and cherry. A touch of spice and cedar can be detected on the palate. Sweet, soft and supple. A very long finish.
It is particularly well suited to game and red meat dishes with spicy and full flavours; and with soft cheeses.

Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. 2001
The low production and high quality per hectare of the 100% Sangiovese grapes produced a structured, well-balanced and ample wine dominated by red fruit aromas and flavours with a long finish. It is a wine particularly well suited with game and red meat dishes of spicy and full flavours; also very good with soft cheeses.
