Roc-Épine
A.O.C. Tavel 2006
A Rhône wine made from Grenache Noir 60%, Cinsault 15%, Clairette 9%, Syrah 5%, Grenache Blanc 5%, Carignan 3%, Mourvèdre 1%, Picpoul 1%, and Bourboulenc 1% coming from 21 plots on the Roc-Épine estate and masterfully blended to produce a truly remarkable rosé. Domaine Lafond's Tavel is a forceful, rich, personality-filled rosé, offering copious amounts of strawberry and cherry fruit with a whiff of the famed "herbes de Provence."The culminant aromas are complex, red and white fruits mixing with floral tinges. With time, these fruity aromas tend to turn mellow adding touches of spice and plums.
87/100 Citrus rind, candied cherry, mineral, pine, floral, taffy apple aromas. Dry, round and quite rich with nice cherry, mineral, buttery, ripe apple, citrus flavours with a hint of sweetness and almonds. Good balance and lots of flavour. AG-ST
