Château Dalem

A.O.C. Fronsac

Planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon on chalky clay hills and false plateaux above Pomerol and but a few kilometres from St.-Emilion, they are oriented to the south and south-west and benefit from a maximum of sunshine. The consultant œnologists are the famous Michel Rolland and Christian Veyry.

The wines have lots of colour, good concentration and fine tannic structure.  They are without doubt good keeping wines whatever the vintage. Robert Parker Jr. includes Château Dalem as one of the “Top Châteaux of Bordeaux” and considers it to be one of the best wines of the appellation.

Wine Spectator recently said of Château de la Huste 1997 “87  An impressive Fronsac with pretty blackberry, dried herb and black olive aromas. Medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins and a good core of fruit on the finish.”

We are pleased to be able to offer, by special order, a selection of fine A.O.C. Fronsac wines from three properties, owned by Michel Rullier: Château Dalem, Château de La Huste, and Château La Longua.
