A.O.C. Montagny 1er Cru 2006
The appellation Montagny 1er Cru is a small but important white burgundy. Only 1,650 cases of this exquisite wine were produced from estate grown Chardonnay grapes from a 3.5 Ha chalky clay soil vineyard at an altitude of 270 meters. Long in the mouth, mineral with notes of hazelnut, fern, and lots of fruit; it is the excellence of Chardonnay, ready to drink now but which can easily stay in the cellar for up to 8 years. Serve chilled – but not too much (12oC) – with fish and seafood of course, but also poultry and white meat.

Best served cool (8 or 9oC) in a small or medium tulip glass.

A.O.C. Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise 1996
This beautiful 20 Ha property near Buxy has 7 Ha under Pinot Noir vines growing on the chalky clay soil that gives this wine its unique character. This wine is concentrated, balanced, with tannins colour and fruit. A maturation in oak barrels gives the wine roundness, ensuring its enjoyment in its youth or especially, as it now, after cellar aging for several years. It is best consumed at around 16oC and is a wonderful accompaniment to all deli meats, good winter dishes (stews…) as well as cheeses, and of course, red meat.
